BEACH LOVE
This picture illustrates a couple of points. First, it was taken
on FP4 at 200 ISO with a cheap 400 mm lens some years ago. A
Monopod was used to get a near sharp result.
Be careful of buying cheap lenses. I didn`t keep this one long.
It was adequate in sharpness for this type of shot, but was not
good enough for Natural History and that is why it was bought.
The camera was manually focused, but allowed to expose
automatically. The result, because of the large area of bright
background, is that the couple are , relatively, silhouetted.
Notice also the `off centre` composition. This is known as the
`Rule of Thirds` - much favoured by the Old Master painters.
Place the main subject on, or near one of the `thirds` of the
picture and it usually looks good !
